Product Description

Snowmudd™ is a moor mud, or therapy grade peat, which has formed through the decomposition of herbs, plants and grasses over thousands of years in the pristine snow-covered wilderness of Northern British Columbia, Canada. Representing a rare find, it is of exceptional quality rivaling the famous moor deposits of Europe.

Composition

Snowmudd™ contains naturally occurring humic and fulvic acids, minerals, trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, plant hormones and fatty acids. Likened to a plant extract, it is used for both beauty applications and for its natural healing properties.

Major and Micro Nutrients

Snowmudd™ contains major and micro nutrients in a molecular form that is easy for human skin to absorb.

Heat Properties

Natural mud has a low heat conductivity and higher heat retention than many other materials used in therapeutic settings. The results are deeper heat penetration producing superior overall treatment effects. Overheating natural mud can damage the natural benefits of the substance and result in less effective outcomes. Do not microwave or boil the product.

Ph Factor

Snowmudd™ has a ph factor of 4.5 or lower, an acidic level which enables bacterial stability and indicates the maturity and quality of the substance.

No Preservatives

Snowmudd™ does not contain any preservatives. The only additive is distilled water which is added to achieve a creamy consistency suitable for application as a wrap or mask, or as an addition to a bath.

No Animal Testing

No animals have been used in the testing of this product.

Beauty Applications

Moor mud is used for facial treatments to rejuvenate tissues, cleanse and exfoliate, reduce inflammation, reduce wrinkles, and improve circulation.

As a Bath Therapy

Snowmudd™ has achieved excellent results as a detoxification treatment and bath therapy. Warm baths with 250ml of Snowmudd ™ achieve gradual mobilization of body toxins. The naturally present humic and fulvic acids act as chelats which are able to bind with heavy metals and other toxins ridding the body of health impairing substances. Results include relief of sore joints and muscles, increased flexibility, reduction of swelling and improved circulation.

As a Facial Mask

Snowmudd™ has achieved positive results as a facial mask when left on the skin for 5 to 8 minutes. The application produces a thermal effect which improves circulation and the absorption of the naturally present micronutrients. Likened as a mini–face lift, muscles tighten, wrinkles reduce in appearance, and surface layers of tired skin are exfoliated to produce outstanding results.

As a Spa Wrap

Snowmudd™ may be applied directly to the body to achieve the same detoxification and skin rejuvenation effects as the bath therapy. The use of wrapping materials and heat capturing blankets increases the detoxification effects.

How therapy grade peat products work

Peat products applied to the skin penetrate the epidermis cells resulting in an ion reaction with the albumin in the skin. Positive ions are exchanged for the beneficial negative ions found in the peat. The ions are captured by the blood vessels and move through the body to assist in healing. The naturally occurring fatty acids, lipoids and essential oils assist to restore the body to a healthy ph balance. The thermogenic properties of the peat cause an increased blood flow to assist in circulation and detoxification. The astringent qualities of the peat reduce inflammation to assist in the absorption of the essential nutrients by the skin.

Natural Bath and Spa Wrap

Cautions

Caution should be used in applying any body wrap with certain persons having pre-existing medical conditions including heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, pregnancy or sensitivity to high temperature. Consult a medical doctor for advice. As with all detoxification treatments, hydration is both critical and beneficial. Sufficient water should be ingested following treatment to achieve both hydration, and maximum detoxification results.

Microbiological Testing

Snowmudd™ is a natural product and contains substances found in all plants and soils. Testing is performed on a regular basis to assure acceptable microbiological levels per the guidelines set out by the cosmetics industry. Although moor mud products have been used historically to treat open wounds with no detrimental effects, do not apply on open wounds or sores without consulting a medical doctor.

How to Apply

Facial Mask

Apply to the face using a soft brush in a thin even layer avoiding the eyes. Increase to a maximum of 8 minutes on subsequent treatments. Leave on skin for approximately 4 minutes for a first application. The skin will feel tingly with a slight pulling action as the product dries. The product will produce heat as the micronutrients are absorbed and then gradually dry and cool. The product should be rinsed off with cool water assisted by a soft cloth. A natural moisturizing cleanser may also be used to assist removal.

Bath Treatment

Add 250ml to a comfortably warm to hot bath. The product will dissolve in the water. Soak for as long as the bath remains warm. After bathing, shower in warm water. No shampoos or soaps should be used. Wrap in a large bath towel and relax for a period of 30 minutes to allow the micronutrients to completely absorb.

Spa Wrap

Body brush skin to partially exfoliate and stimulate absorption of micronutrients. The mud may be applied in a generous layer either with the hand, or with a small soft bristled brush avoiding open sores. Wrapping materials may include large body wrap sheets or individual tensor wrap materials. The client should be covered with a warm towel to maximize heat retention and remain wrapped for a least 45 minutes. The mud will remain moist under plastic wrap materials and is easily removed with water. Client should shower using no shampoos or soaps. If tensor materials are used, in conjunction with a dry sauna, detoxification effects are maximized. The mud may dry in some areas using this application method, and removal will be assisted with a soft brush or cloth. The application of essential oils or natural moisturizers post wrap, is left to the discretion of the esthetician. Clients should be provided purified water to re-hydrate immediately upon completion of the treatment.
